Is FaceBubble really free?
Yes — every feature, with no watermarks, no limits, and no subscriptions. There's an optional one-time tip if you'd like to support development, but nothing is locked behind it.
Where do my recordings go?
Finished videos save straight to your iPhone's Photos library, ready to share. Your recordings never leave your device — we don't upload them anywhere.
How do I move or resize the bubble?
Pinch on the bubble to resize it, and drag it anywhere on screen to reposition it. Put it exactly where it won't cover what matters.
Do I need the microphone on?
It's your choice. When a recording starts, you can pick whether to include your voice. Leave it off for silent screen captures.
Why is the bubble rectangular and not round?
The floating window on iPhone is always rectangular — that's an iOS limitation for picture-in-picture overlays, not something we can change. You can tint the frame in the app so it blends in nicely.
How do I go live to Twitch, YouTube or Facebook?
Open Settings (the gear icon), paste your stream key for the service, and tap Done. On the main screen pick that service, tap Go Live, then Start Broadcast. Your screen and face stream live using your own key — we never see it.
I tapped record but it didn't seem to start.
After you tap Start Broadcast, iOS runs a short countdown before capture begins — the button shows "Starting…", then switches to "Stop" once you're live. Give it a couple of seconds; there's no need to tap again.
I left a tip — how do I restore it on a new device?
Open the "Support the developer" screen and tap "Restore purchase". Your tip is tied to your Apple ID and will restore automatically.
What do I need to run it?
An iPhone running iOS 17 or later.
